The chicken is good. I hadn't had fried chicken in quite some time the color was golden it was still juicy inside. I enjoyed the seasonings as well The service was good and we enjoyed almost all the items ordered. I wasn't thrilled with the beans but that's just my personal preference. I throw down with some hamburger bell peppers and such form mines.
If you love Jim Dandy's this is a good alternative. The flavor is somewhat similar and tastes very good. The chicken is crunchy and their rice is also very flavorful. This location does not have the fritters they only have rolls.
This is one of my favorite chicken spots now in LA! The ranch party wings or spicy chicken 2pc meal are my go to. The customer service is very good and they have a wide variety on their menu if you have a taste for something other than fried chicken. Go check it out!
This place is the bomb! Their garlic noodles is one of the best. I know, right??!! I wouldn't have thought so either, but when I tell you I was pleasantly surprised, believe it. And the chicken???? Let's just say I've been back many times!
We ordered on Uber which was an hour plus for delivery. However the chicken and collards were great. I grew up in Oakland so between my mom and all the great hits there Charlie's was right up with the best. If crunchy is your thang, Charlie's is the zing.
The chicken is delicious. Juicy & fried to perfection. Grab some chicken & hot water cornbread. Every side I had was not good, including the fries. Stick to the chicken. Neighborhood staple.
I highly recommend this business to any and everyone! A great diverse menu with southern and Asian fusion. Been here for yeeeearrsss! And the owner is the sweetest nicest man you'd ever wanna meet The surprising hit here is their chicken skins. Asking around the restaurant and seeing their video reviews that was playing on the tv inside that's what everyone says, chicken skins. And after trying them I have to say I didn't know if id like but I did. Tasty with a good crunch. Another must try here is their garlic noodles, very good. And pretty much any chicken you get from here is good. Party wings chicken and waffles 5 out of 5 for Charlie's!
Everything here is soooo good. The chicken salad sandwich with fried chicken skin in place of the bun is crispy and flavorful. You also can only find this here, and it's worth the visit. You can't go wrong with any flavor of the chicken wings, it's a win- win situation. The shrimp garlic noodles made me want to finish the whole platter. That cajun corn was too damn good. Starting to crave it now as I think about it so I'll be visiting soon.
I have been craving this shrimp since my hg pulled up to my house with this Cajun shrimp. I finally pulled up to Charlie's myself and yessss it hit the spot! Their unique boil sauce is so tasty. I be slurping all the sauce off the corn shrimp and tray lol. I wish I would've boiled some eggs & potatoes to go with this! I tried to call in but the phone does not work so I went in to order and it was maybe 7 people inside ordering & waiting for orders. They give you a buzzer to let you know when your order is done so I went to go pick up some buds down the street & by time I came back my food was ready!
